Natural Aromatherapy Play Dough Recipe

This is a quick and easy recipe for 4 different colours without heating or using cream of tartare. The cream of tartare is generally used as a preservative, but the extra salt in this recipe will make the play dough last a bit longer.

Ingredients -

4 cups plain flour
1 1/2 cups salt
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 cup of warm water
4 colours - natural plant based food colouring
100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils

NOTE: If you would like to make a gluten free alternative, use a gluten free flour mix or half cornstarch and rice flour.

You could also add dried herbs for extra texture and scent.

Essential oil suggestions would be lavender , sweet orange, grapefruit, lemon or  a specialised blend designed to calm or keep children happy such as peace & calming , twinkle star etc.
